The frustration, and even anger that AgileBits is experiencing from this decision should be very concerning to everyone working at 1Password. I also find the excuses, that the new extension is so much better, extremely disingenuous when the extension won’t work with local vaults, and is also not compatible with iOS 14 and below. That seems to be a pretty arrogant decision, as it is obvious that a lot of users (including myself) did use the share sheet quite often. u/dteare7 mentioned in another long winded post that he and most of the dev team haven’t used it in a while, so they didn’t really see it as important. I have yet to read a legitimate reason for the removal of the share sheet extension.

Now, if it you could stop with the patronising nonsense about being sorry for the frustration, that would be great. So, it might take a while to move, but move I shall. I'm fascinated by the choice and I recognise where it is coming from-but, well, it's just not a great idea. Now? Well, I'll just switch to LastPass Enterprise and be done. I don't have to buy your product, but the experience made it worthwhile. The company I work for gives me LastPass. You've promised a "top tier experience." Electron isn't top tier. Once you move away from what made 1Password the platform of choice for macOS (and let's face it, that's why it ended up on my iPad, iPhone and my other devices) then, well, it's no longer the platform of choice. Well, this is going to force a decision, isn't it?ĭave, you may be the Founder, but your doing pretty well at annoying your most loyal customers. what? Am I going to get slung 1Password 8 automatically at some point? I'm going to wake up one day and. You're charging more money than ever before, and now you're not even providing a native app. And that was fine, because it was a native app that ran well. Of course, it didn't matter if you already had an investment in the product, no discount or delayed payment for you. There were regular updates that didn't cost much. I chose your platform because it was native. I think that you are ignoring where your customers have come from. More on, and why you need a password manager. Available for Mac, iOS, Windows, and Android, syncing seamlessly between all of them. If your organization uses SSO, you’ll use your SSO login for Dashlane and won’t need to create a Master Password.Welcome to r/1Password! This sub is a great place to discuss 1Password, password managers, and internet privacy/security in general.ġPassword is the award-winning password manager designed to make your life easier. Dashlane encrypts all your data and never stores or transmits your Master Password, which means only you can access your vault, even in the unlikely event of a server breach. When creating an account, members that aren’t using SSO are asked to set a strong Master Password-the encryption key used to unlock the account. Admins can protect their organization by setting policies to easily onboard, offboard, and manage employees’ access to work accounts. Password managers also help businesses improve their cybersecurity. That means you’ll never have to remember or enter a complex password again. With a password manager, you can generate, save, and autofill unique, complex passwords. Plus, your information syncs seamlessly across your devices, so you’ll always have access to your logins when you need them, even if you’re offline. Password managers also enable you to share passwords with groups and individuals, so you and your team can work more efficiently. A password manager makes it easy by remembering them for you. Remembering all your work and personal passwords is difficult.
